In world-class athletes lactate threshold typically occurs at 70-80% VO2 max. In untrained individuals it occurs much sooner, at 50-60% VO2 max (10,11). Generally, in two people with the same VO2 max, the one with a higher lactate threshold will perform better in continuous-type endurance events. See the graph below: Oct 28, 2021 · Impact on blood pressure responses. Overall, during the whole period of exercise, beta blockade was associated with a lower systolic [2.88 mmHg lower (95% C.I 2.62–3.14)] and lower diastolic blood pressure [0.35 mmHg (0.24–0.45)] ( Fig. 2 A–B). The increase in BP with power and MPO for those with and without beta-blockers are shown in Fig What is a considered a “good” VO2 Max is not one size fits all, as age and gender must be considered. For a 30-year-old male, a VO2 max of 49-56 would be classified as “good,” and a VO2 Max of 56 or greater as “superior.”. For a 30-year-old female, a VO2 max of 45-52 would be classified as “good,” and a VO2 Max of 52 or greater
This is typical when getting started with the Garmin watch. When I got my FR245 in March, it initially gave me an estimate of 48 on my VO2 Max. Then you just check the ACSM Cardiorespiratory Fitness Classifications table to see where you fall under. The two following measures on the other hand said 35.3 & 35.1. This can’t be correct i thought, i play ice hockey, i run, i workout, play badminton, plyometric exercise etc.
